Bid, Pricing and Commercial Operations Manager

Your responsibilities

Bid management:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end bid process for complex B2B SaaS deals, ensuring timely and accurate submission of high-quality proposals.
  • Collaborate with sales, technical, and product teams to develop compelling and customized proposals that address client needs and highlight the value proposition of our solutions.
  • Co-ordinate and manage internal review processes to ensure all proposals meet company standards, compliance requirements, and client expectations.
  • Maintain a library of bid templates, case studies, and relevant documentation to streamline the bid process and improve efficiency.

Pricing strategy:

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies for complex B2B SaaS deals, taking into consideration market trends, competitive analysis, and customer requirements.
  • Work closely with sales and finance teams to create pricing models that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the marketplace.
  • Analyze and provide insights on pricing trends, discounting practices, and deal profitability to inform future pricing strategies.
  • Ensure pricing decisions align with overall business objectives and long-term growth strategies.

Commercial operations:

  • Oversee the commercial aspects of SaaS B2B deals, including contract negotiations, terms and conditions, and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and sales teams to manage the approval process for non-standard terms and conditions.
  • Monitor and report on key commercial metrics such as deal size, win/loss rates, and sales cycle length, providing insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage the sales order process, ensuring accurate and timely entry of deal information into CRM and other relevant systems.

Process improvement:

  • Continuously assess and refine bid, pricing, and commercial operations processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Implement best practices and tools to streamline workflows and improve the effectiveness of the commercial operations function.
  • Provide training and support to sales teams on bid management, pricing strategy, and commercial operations processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • MBA or relevant professional certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a SaaS or technology company.
  • Proven track record in managing complex B2B sales bids, pricing strategies, and commercial operations.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, pricing structures, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, legal, and product management.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids and pricing activities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to develop and interpret complex pricing models.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Dymanics), pricing tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.

Location

  • Preferably in Frankfurt or Brunswick, Germany
